NeighborAide is a grassroots startup with the mission to help those in need, provide a community atmosphere, and connect site users to people of similar interests, goals, and expression. We aim to expand in the SF Bay Area with attainable goals, a strong marketing plan, and solid motivation.

Senior PHP Programmer and Security Administrator
Skills Required
PHP, XHTML/HTML, CSS, MySQL, database knowledge, security updates/upgrades, installing mods, vBulletin (forum), WordPress (blog), attention to detail, and confidence.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Make requested changes to site appearance (including the forum and/or blog)
- Make requested changes to site programming (including the forum and/or blog)
- Deal with and deter hackers (and the potential mess left behind)
- Call CEO 1x per day to deliver status report of site
- Participate in weekly roundtable meeting for strategy session and issue resolution
Qualifications
- 3+ years working with PHP
- 3+ years working with XHTML/HTML
- 3+ years working with CSS
- 3+ years working with MySQL and databases
- 3+ years involved in online security
- 3+ years experience designing sites and programming
- Real-life experience over book smarts is desired
- Reside in the San Francisco Bay Area

Site Moderator
Skills required
Knowledge of spam, how spam attacks, ability to read/scan for long periods of time, sharp eye for detail, and strong editing/proofreading skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor the site and postings for spam
- Monitor the site and postings for unacceptable posts as outlined under the site TOSU
- Make sure the posters are adhering to the rules as outlined by the site TOSU
- Call CEO 1x per day to deliver status report of site
Qualifications
- 1+ years administering a site and/or a forum
- Reside in the San Francisco Bay Area

The forum moderator is to check on the forums a minimum of 1x/day but as traffic increases eventually a minimum of 3x/day (morning, midday, and evening) will be necessary.

Forum Moderator
Skills Required
Knowledge of forum etiquette, forum oversight, and preferably knowledge of the vBulletin format.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor the forum for errors or anything out of range of forum functions
- Monitor forum discussions and make sure all rules are adhered to
- Deal with arguments and troublemakers in a fair and balanced way
- Deal with spam, trolls, and fake posts
- Report broken links, distasteful posts, and users abusing the system
- Overall; manage and moderate the forum
- Call CEO 1x per day to deliver status report of site
Qualifications
- 1+ years moderating a forum
- Reside in the San Francisco Bay Area
