Today Google launched an online tool so users can find, via Google maps, where the nearest flu and/or H1N1 flu shots are being given. Just go to – google.com/flushot
We checked it out here for the San Francsico area. It’s a very convenient service. Of course we don’t know how accurate it is or how long an icon will stay up even after the advertised place has no more flu shots available. We can only hope that it stays quite accurate and communication between Google and the shot venues is constant so false hope isn’t manifested.
If you need a flu shot or an H1N1 shot this new Google service is an option. Other options are to contact your doctor, hospital, local county or health officials, and read your local news source.
Good luck!
