About Us

Welcome to NeighborAide.com a grassroots site based upon the foundation of community; a place where individuals, groups, non-profits, companies, and others can accomplish goals thru generosity, commerce, trade, or simply network.

We have put together many categories to post to. Whether you want to notify the world about a missing loved one, broadcast an upcoming sale, find a job, fulfill the wish list of a nonprofit, sell some items, find a new roommate, or utilize one of the other great services here; NeighborAide is your one stop to pull it all together.

NeighborAide also has the tools to become a powerful information conduit. Whether through the BLOG, the FORUM, or the site itself there are plenty of resources for individuals to communicate with.

Some have asked, “Well just what is an aide? Isn’t that the same as ‘aid’?” Well no... it isn’t. They are very similar, yet different. Take a look at the following definitions:

Aide: An assistant or helper. And this is exactly what NeighborAide is; an assistant for others; an "aide" in various ways.

Aid: To give help or assistance. The user (you) provides  the real "aid" through NeighborAide.

Hopefully that clears up the two words and their definitions since both terms are frequently used.

NeighborAide has three fundamental goals as a website:

1.) To be a venue where people help, inform, empower, and support eachother.

2.) To act as a foundation where people accomplish tasks, goals, and business.

3.) To be a think-tank where positive ideas grow and shift into the "real world".

It is clear that current, economic models aren’t working for many. The widening cracks need to be filled by good neighbors and motivated groups as various “systems” of government and private industry continue to fall short. Someone has to step up; why not you? Many small steps can make big things happen.

NeighborAide is where community happens.
